Terms of Use

These terms govern the use of the Chega app, provided by Bruce Mitchell ("we"). By using the app, you agree to them.

1. What the app is (and is not)

Chega is a habit-change support program for people who want to stop betting: a day counter, an estimate of money recovered, breathing exercises, check-ins and motivational content.

The app is not a healthcare service. It does not provide diagnosis, medical or psychological treatment, and does not replace health professionals. "Money recovered" and "estimated losses" are estimates computed from your own answers, for motivational purposes.

In a crisis, seek immediate help: CVV 188 (24h, free, Brazil) or cvv.org.br.

2. Eligibility

The app is intended for people aged 18 or older.

3. Subscription, free trial and auto-renewal

  • Access requires a subscription: R$ 299.90/year or R$ 14.90/week (prices may vary; the current price is always the one shown on the App Store purchase screen).
  • New users get a 7-day free trial. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the chosen subscription is charged automatically.
  • The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until cancelled.
  • Cancelling: iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Chega → Cancel. Access remains until the end of the paid period.
  • Payments and refunds are processed by Apple under App Store policies (request a refund).

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to copy, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer or commercially exploit the app, and not to use it unlawfully.

5. Intellectual property

The app, its brand, design and content are owned by or licensed to us. The subscription grants a personal, limited, non-transferable, revocable license.

6. Privacy

Data processing is described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is". We do not guarantee specific recovery outcomes — change depends on you and, where needed, professional care. To the maximum extent permitted by law (including the Brazilian Consumer Code, which remains fully applicable), our liability is limited to the subscription amounts paid in the 12 months before the event.

8. Changes

We may update the app and these terms. Relevant changes will be communicated in the app or on this page. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

9. Governing law and venue

For consumers in Brazil, Brazilian law applies and venue is the consumer's domicile, per the Consumer Defense Code.
